New Adventures

It's been a while since I've blogged but I've been crazy-busy! A lot has happened since Eston lost his job...but all for the better! I started a new job at a construction company, Garrett & Associates General Contractors...and I love it!!!! I started working in March and a week later, I found out that I was pregnant. Unfortunately, the day after I found out...I started having some problems. I was bleeding and cramping so my first thought was that I was having a miscarriage. I held out for a few days but it got worse. I went to the ER on March 31st and the doctor told me that I did miscarry. I was very early...about 4 weeks, so I just didn't think anything of it and moved on. I just focused on work and my family. I knew that dwelling on it would make things worse. So life moved on...I stayed busy at work and continued to learn new things with this job as I've never worked for a construction company before.
In May, Eston applied for a job with Weatherford in Kilgore. Three days later, Weatherford in Pennsylvania called him about the job he applied for and offered him a job. They talked money, benefits, moving, etc. It ended up being a job that he could not turn down. As of this past Friday, June 17th, Eston is officially an employee for Weatherford in Williamsport, Pennsylvania! So yes, we are moving to PA. Eston leaves on Sunday, June 26th. Will and I are staying here to get the house ready to sell. It won't be any fun...but it has to happen this way. Will, myself and my mom are going up in a couple of weeks to start looking at apartments/houses.
In other news....I found out that I am pregnant...still. I never had a miscarriage! Heaven forbid a doctor should spend a few minutes with a patient to really check them out. I had no symptoms, no signs...nothing... But a few days before Memorial Day, I couldn't fit into my jeans even though I'd lost weight. I couldn't make any sense out of it...so I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. I just figured it was a completely different pregnancy. I went to the doctor and he thought the same thing...that I was about a month along. Then he did a sonogram...and WOW were we all shocked! At the time of the sono, I was in my 14th week of my pregnancy! Translation- No Miscarriage! So after my shock subsided, I put all the pieces together and realized there were little signs here and there that I was pregnant...but I just didn't realize it! Shocked for sure!
To top it all off....we found out a week later that we're having a GIRL! Isabella Claire Parson is on her way!! This also means that our family is complete...2 children are just enough for us. And it also means that I get to work on my girlish figure again lol. But it does look like Bella will be born in the snow! I'm due around Thanksgiving...currently 11/26/11, which is also our anniversary! If we're living in PA by then, she'll definitely be a winter baby!

We are so excited with everything that is happening. I'm not looking forward to packing the house by myself...with the help of an energetic toddler....but it has to be done. It just means we're moving forward with our lives. One foot in front of the other. :-) Finally...

Cha-cha-cha-changes...

...and none of them are good. Life has been hectic since December. Will and I have been sick off and on since December. He's finally better but now I'm sick yet again. Thank you, East Texas allergies. I love the Spring but I don't like the allergies that come with it!

Our life was turned upside down on February 28th. Eston lost his long-time job. He was fired...and the validity of the termination is extremely questionable. But regarldess, we are now without any source of income. We've both been searching for jobs with no luck. It's a very scary situation, considering we have a child to care for. He applied for more jobs today. Let's hope that he gets some good news VERY soon. We need it. This is so scary and stressful. We've never been through this kind of situation and I'm doing my best to stay positive...but it really is hard.

Will is getting bigger. He's healthy and strong. I can't ask for anything better than a healthy, happy child. He's running everywhere now...he kissed walking goodbye! We've nicknamed him Rango (like the new Johnny Depp movie) because he walks just like the character Rango. It's so cute. He's also recently learned how to walk backwards. It looks like he's moonwalking! HAHA! It's too cute!

Thank you, Amber, for taking this picture. Love it!

So life has literally been awful lately. We could definitely use some good news. All positive thoughts and prayers are welcome. We need them.

AdvoCare and Weight Loss Goals

I'm on the road to reaching my weight loss goals. Sadly....I have 96lbs to go. But I've lost 25lbs! My friends Joy and Joe have been taking AdvoCare products for about 3 years now. I have been watching Joe shrink and shrink! Joy became healthier (she certainly didn't need to lose any weight!) and she's benefitted from the energy that she'd gained from the products. After seeing them today, I realized that I really needed to jumpstart my AdvoCare business. I placed a huge order tonight and I'm looking forward to taking the products that I KNOW will help me lose the rest of the weight. I will say that I'm proud of Joe! He's lost about 130 lbs....which is my goal weight! He looks amazing and you can tell that he's proud of himself but he's not one to brag! Joy looks amazing as always! She's toned and she looks so wonderful. I know that she feels better too. They are my inspiration for this long journey ahead of me. Thankfully they are there for anything I need! I love you guys! (Yes, I stole this picture off of Facebook. :-D You'll get over it. I'm bragging about you.) I'm so proud of you and thankful for your inspiration!

We'll see what my future holds but I'm so ready to be comfortable again. Now I just need to find a workout partner and a gym that doesn't cost a fortune and I'll be good to go!

Updates

Just thought I would post a quick synopsis of the happenings in our neck of the woods. :-)

Eston has been working non-stop, to the point of excessive. They are so short-handed...but thankfully 3 more people have been hired so everybody should be getting some relief. I've been busy taking care of Will almost by myself and it's exhausting but I love being home with him instead of working. He's getting SO BIG! At his appointment a couple weeks ago, he weighed 16 lbs and measured 26 1/2 inches long. He's working so hard on sitting up. It's so funny to watch. Sadly, he's still trying to roll onto his stomach....in his sleep. It's waking him up! Not fun! But he's getting there!

We've also been making plans to do some remodeling. I had an idea about a new pantry that will be AWESOME! We just need the time to get it done! The only thing that isn't fun right now is that we have to replace our a/c. *SIGH* Money out the window but it has to be done. And of course...during the hottest part of the year. :-) Life happens!

I've had a few people requesting diaper cakes and baby mums! I'm looking forward to make some more beautiful items. I really need to start charging lol.

Vacation soon!!! September is going to be here before we know it! I am so excited about going to Tennessee! :-D A week in the mountains is just what I need! :-) Maybe next year it'll be the beach... Hmm...

That's about all for now! :-)

What a Week...

This has been a very long and hard week. I'm sick like crazy...thank you allergies...but the only benefit is that I no longer have tonsils to make it worse. So I'm managing but it sure makes taking care of a teething baby even harder! Will is a bit sick too but apparently not enough for the pediatrician to think he needs to be seen. I can't say that I'm too pleased with this doctor. I'm not being a paranoid parent...I know what chest and sinus congestion sounds like! He's sick...that's all there is to it. So tomorrow, I'm back to calling around for an opening with any doctor to get Will some medicine. This is one of those times when you just want to pull your hair out. Thankfully Will is a very happy baby...so when he's fussy it's nothing that can't be handled.

So between Will and I both being sick...and him teething, it's been for a long week. But we were still able to go to Target to get the weekly dose of diapers, formula, and pet food. Will sat up in the shopping cart for the first time!
He's getting so big! Next time I'll remember to take the shopping cart cover that I have for him. this was just a trial run because he was getting fidgety in the car seat. He's almost mastered rolling over...and soon, he'll be sitting up. I'm just looking forward to him holding his bottle. That will really help me out!
Don't you hate it when you have to wait on people? I do. Especially when they say "I'll be over on Tuesday at 5:30," then it's Tuesday...about 6:30...and they finally call and say that they forgot... Yeah...this really irritates me. This has happened to me all week by the same person, 4 days in a row. That just really ruined my week because I made the stupid mistake of waiting around on this person. *Sigh* Never again. It feels like I've wasted this whole week.
On the other hand, I'm busy trying to figure out the student loan process. I have no idea exactly where to start. But sadly, I need the loans to finish my degree! I just can't keep paying out of pocket. UT Tyler isn't exactly expensive, but it's not cheap. I want to take as many online classes as I can though...because right now, I don't want to be too far away from home.
So that's what is going on in the Parson household this week. Mom is staying with us tomorrow night and we're doing some shopping and getting pedicures on Tuesday! Can't wait!
